Tips for Wedding Gown Shopping

How do I place my order?

Once you've decided on “the one!!!”, you can place your order through our website by selecting your dress choice, colour, and size. You can message us if you have any questions; we're here to help.

When to start shopping for your dress?

We recommend you start shopping at least 9-12 months before your wedding day, and ideally purchase your dress 6-9 months in advance.

When do I need to order my dress by?

We require a minimum of 4-6 months to make your dress so that we can order your fabric and professionally cut and sew your dress by hand in our studio in Vancouver Canada. If your wedding day is less than 5 months away, please contact us with your requests, as we will do our best to accommodate you. We have a policy that our dresses be shipped to our brides at least one month before the wedding date, so that you have time to finalize your accessories, have alterations done by a professional seamstress if need be, and to feel relaxed leading up to your wedding day!

My wedding date is less than 5 months away, can you still make me a dress?

Please contact us with the style you're interested in, your wedding date, as well as your shipping address, and we will give you an answer right away.

Can I customize any of your designs?

We offer small customizations of our designs like neckline, sleeve length, hem length, colour, and fabric. Please contact us with your requests and your wedding date, and we'll provide you with a quote. Customizations usually range from approximately $50-$600.

The dress I want has a long train, what do I do if I want to dance all night?

We recommend our dresses be bustled in the back, so that your beautiful long train (perfect for the ceremony and photos!) be brought up to an even floor length by single or multiple bustles at the back. Please have a trained seamstress provide the bustling service once you've received your dress.

How do I know what size I am?

Have your bust, waist, and full hip measurements taken, then refer to our size guide. You'll select your size at checkout when you place your order.

What if I'm in between sizes?

If you are in between sizes, choose one size bigger so that alterations may be done by a professional tailor. Once you've ordered, we will contact you to ask you for your height, with shoes. If a special fit is required, please send us a message with your special request.

What if I plan on losing weight before the wedding?

Congratulations on making that extra effort; whether it's eating a cleaner diet, or joining a spinning class, trying to be healthier is always a good thing! We suggest that you order your dress as close to your current measurements as possible, with the expectation that you meet with a professional seamstress to have adjustments made once you've received your dress. It's an industry standard that alterations be done one month before the wedding date, with any last minute adjustments (due to quick weight loss/gain right before the big day) done a week before the wedding.

Can you send a sample to try on?

We don't have any samples to ship to brides to try on, but we do welcome brides to visit us in our studios in Paris and Vancouver. Please contact us to set up an appointment. We also offer brides the opportunity to have a swatch of fabric sent to you, so that you can touch/see/feel our fabrics and know exactly what you're ordering. Please send us a message with the style and colour request, as well as your wedding date, and any other questions you may have.

Do you do trunk shows?

We also have trunk shows in major cities in North America and Europe coming later this year. Please sign up for our mailing list to receive updates on when and where our next trunk show will be!

Do you have any stockists?

We sell directly from our studios in Paris and Vancouver, as well as through our Online Shop. We will also be adding stockists for our newest collection. Please sign up for our mailing list to receive our updates.
